Swappie wanted to explore what is possible with modern computer vision technology powered by Google ecosystem and turned to Codento. A study was conducted with the current state-of-the-art methods in computer vision.
Computer Vision Technology in a Nutshell
Computer vision involves a series of steps that transform raw visual data into meaningful information. Image acquisition captures the visual data from cameras or other devices. Preprocessing enhances the quality of the image by resizing, filtering, and removing noise. Feature extraction identifies and extracts meaningful patterns from the image, such as edges, shapes, and textures. Finally, classification and segmentation analyze the features to classify objects and segment them into meaningful regions.
